4th Annual Mama Afrika Festival & Fashion Show: Sun. Sept. 18
DURHAM, NC – Mama Afrika Festival (M.A.F.) is hosting another grand celebration for the 4th consecutive year!!
With the theme “Celebrating Community Through Cultural Diversity,” this culturally stimulated family oriented occasion will incorporate various music genres, singers, drumming, entertainment, spoken word, poetry, community leaders, face paintings, bouncy house, lots of food, workshops and various interactive activities.
The goal is to raise funds for Moringa Food Forest Farm and community shopping center. Moringa Food Forest Farm, whose mission is about improving livelihoods and reducing malnutrition among communities with Moringa plants, which are also called the tree of life.
This year, new to the Mama Afrika Festival we proudly present the fashion mogul herself, Katherine Neal of Vogue Modeling, Africanpearl & The Unity Ladies as they partner with Mama Afrika Festival to present to you, “CONTINENTAL RUNWAY, DESTINATION—->AFRICA!! OFFICIAL AFRICAN FASHION WEEK WITH A TASTE OF AMERICAN FUSION — LIVE IN DURHAM, NC. Fashion Show starts 4pm.
