Submit Your King Holiday Event (Free Listing)

We are looking forward to another great King Holiday in 2017! That’s a day on, not a day off. This area offers many opportunities to celebrate and to serve the “beloved community.”

Spectacular Magazine, in 2017, will move from a monthly magazine to a quarterly magazine. All the feature articles, news, commentary and information that you have become to expect from Spectacular Magazine will be available on this website and in the quarterly print edition. For first quarter 2017, Spectacular Magazine will release a Special King Holiday – Black History Month Edition.

The website will include a comprehensive Calendar of King Holiday Events. Those same events will be listed on the Spectacular Magazine website calendar at

To submit your group’s, church’s, school’s, civic organization’s or any other King Holiday event including volunteer opportunities, simply click on SUBMIT AN EVENT at the top of the home page. Enter complete details of your event submit those details along with a flyer or picture of the event if available. There is a button to upload the file of the flyer or picture. The description of the event should be one concise paragraph – 150 words or less.

It is mandatory that each submission include the organizer’s complete contact information including phone number. It is also very important to include the complete name and address of the venue at which the event is being held. For paid events, only the website of the event will be listed. For full information on paid events to be publicized, we strongly recommend that an ad is purchased.

Every effort will be made to include all submissions and/or flyer/pictures, however it is not guaranteed. Space in the print edition is limited. Events will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

Remember…you can give back by volunteering in your community all year long.
