Janet Jackson’s Camp Downplays Jermaine Dupri Rekindling Rumors

Reports surfaced this week that newly-single Janet Jackson may be getting back together with her ex, Jermaine Dupri. Well, before that talk can pick up any more steam, a source tells E! News that folks can pump the breaks. “Jermaine and Janet have remained friends through all these years and never lost touch. They had a period when they broke up and didn’t talk for a bit but overcame that and found friendship again,” the insider said. “Jermaine has a crazy love for Janet and they have been speaking more since the breakup. Janet and Jermaine trust each other and they have history.” The source goes on to affirm that the two are just friends and nothing more. “Janet is really not in a position to get involved with someone at this time,” the source explained. “She is open though for something more down the line. They are in the talks of working on some new projects.” Janet is in the throws of her “State of the World” tour across the U.S.

Oprah Winfrey’s First ’60 Minutes’ Segment To Focus On Country’s Political Divide

Oprah Winfrey will debut as a 60 Minutes correspondent this Sunday, September 24, 2017, and the long-running CBS newsmagazine says her stories will focus primarily on bridging the gap between the two coasts and Trump’s America. Winfrey’s first segment will examine the deep political divisions in the country in part through a panel made up of ideologically opposed Americans. Winfrey did a similar feature in O Magazine in February, for which she brought together 10 women at a diner in Maspeth, New York — half of them Donald Trump supporters, half Hillary Clinton supporters. Executive producer Jeff Fager said he tried to recruit Winfrey five years ago, when she was in the midst of her rocky launch of OWN. “She was too distracted to even consider it,” he says. This time, Winfrey was open to the offer, and was encouraged by friends. When she and friend Gayle King were on David Geffen’s yacht this summer, Geffen called CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves to communicate Winfrey’s interest. As for Winfrey’s own liberal political identity possibly turning off half of the country, Fager says it’s not a concern. “We are known for fairness,” he says, “and I believe people will see that on the air with her.”

Phaedra Parks ‘Desperate’ For ‘RHOA’ Return After Controversial Firing

Phaedra Parks is said to be begging Andy Cohen for her Georgia peach back, RadarOnline.com exclusively reveal. “She’s desperate for cash,” an insider told Radar. “She’s trying to sell one of her homes and lease a recently purchased home because she doesn’t have the substantial income that she was earning on RHOA.” Parks even “offered to date and open up more about her personal life” when she got the axe, but it wasn’t enough to save her spot. “The producers made it clear that they were more interested in following her story when she was married to Apollo Nida since viewers could relate to the stigma of dating a man with a troubled past and his journey to rehabilitating his life,” the insider noted. As you know, Parks was terminated in May after she admitted to lying about Kandi Burruss wanting to rape and drug Porsha Williams. She reportedly refused to date on camera at the time, so producers withdrew her $1.3 million paycheck. Parks divorced her incarcerated ex earlier this year, and Apollo will remain behind bars until 2020. Upon his release, he plans to tie the knot with longtime “friend” turned lover, Sherien Almufti. The Real Housewives of Atlanta is nearly halfway through NY production of season 10. The series returns next month on Bravo. Viewers can expect to find NeNe Leakes as feisty as ever and Kim Zolciak will make occasional appearances.

Kylie Jenner is Pregnant

The youngest sibling in the Kardashian-Jenner clan is now expecting. Two sources close to the “overjoyed” family tell CNN that Kylie Jenner, 20, is pregnant and due in February. The makeup mogul and reality star has been in a relationship with rapper Travis Scott since April. Jenner has had some practice with kids. Not only is she an aunt to sister Kim’s two children, sister Kourtney’s three kids and brother Rob’s daughter, but she often spent time with rapper Tyga’s son when the pair were dating. The couple had an off-and-on relationship for several years. In January 2016, E! aired an episode of her family’s reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in which Kylie is seen with Tyga asking her parent Caitlin Jenner, “What do you feel like is a good age to have kids?” Caitlyn Jenner advises that 30 is a good age. “I feel like 30 is too late,” Kylie Jenner responds. “Every psychic said I’m only going to have two kids.” Jenner currently stars on her own reality show, “Life of Kylie.”

T.I. & Tiny Planning New Reality Show About Reconciliation

T.I. and Tiny definitely acted like they were back together at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors on Sept. 17, and if they have it their way, we may get to see their reconciliation play out on television. “They want to return to reality TV with a new show and have it based around how they are dealing with getting back together as a family,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They want it to be different from their last show and focused solely on them getting back together, maybe even with a vow renewal at the end of it. They are working on making it happen and pitching their ideas to VH1 already!” The pair’s last reality show, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, aired its last season this spring, just months after it was announced that Tiny had filed for divorce from her longtime love. However, even though she filed in Dec. 2016, there have been no moves to further the process and make it official, leaving the duo’s relationship in a state of limbo. They’ve constantly kept us guessing about where they stand with each other, but an eyewitness at the Hip Hop Honors told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that things definitely seem to be back ON at this point. “They’re happy again thanks to a lot of forgiveness, love, therapy, and a deep sense of loyalty from both of them,” a source close to the couple told us EXCLUSIVELY. “They also share a strong sense of family values.” Don’t forget, T.I. and Tiny have three kids together, and have remained committed as co-parents since their split, so it’s not all that surprising that they’d get back to the way things were romantically, too.

While Fantasia was checking on her brother in the hospital, she was approached by a young woman whose husband had been in a bad accident. The woman asked Fantasia if she would sing for her husband, who had been paralyzed because of the accident. Fantasia agreed, and the video of her performance for the injured young man was posted to Instagram. “She is such a blessing to others even when she’s going through herself! Let’s continue to lift both families up in prayer because God Is Able,” team Fantasia posted on Instagram along with the video.
