Trailer Released For ‘The Final Year’ — Documentary On Insiders’ Account Of President Obama’s Last Year In Office

The trailer has been released for The Final Year. It is from HBO Documentary Pictures is distributed by Magnolia Pictures. The film will hit select theaters, on demand and streaming services January 19, 2018. OWN Sets Premiere Dates For Tyler Perry Shows, Including New ‘House Of Payne’ Spinoff, ‘The Paynes’

Although Tyler Perry is ending his exclusive pact at OWN for Viacom in 2019, he still has a heavy slate set at the network. New seasons of If Loving You Is Wrong and The Haves and the Have Nots are coming in January 2019, as well as new series The Paynes, which is a spinoff of Perry’s TBS comedy, House of Payne.  The Paynes, which will see Cassi Davis and LaVan Davis return as Ella and Curtis Payne, as well as comedy vet Jackeé Harry in a role, will premiere with back-to-back episodes at 10 p.m. on January 16. Season 5 of The Haves and the Have Nots debuts at 9 p.m. on January 9, and the midseason premiere of Season 4 of If Loving You Is Wrong will air at 10 p.m. beginning January 10.

The Paynes
In Tyler Perry’s new comedy series, The Paynes, Cassi Davis and LaVan Davis reprise their roles as Ella and Curtis Payne, from the hit series House of Payne. As Curtis and Ella are enjoying their retirement, a death in the family takes them on the road to Florida, where Curtis is roped into a real estate deal that will tumble their lives like clothes in a dryer – with plenty of laughs and life lessons along the way. The Paynes also stars Emmy-winner Jackeé Harry, Stephanie Charles, Markice Moore, JD McCrary, Sanai Victoria and Anthony O. Dalton. 

The Haves and the Have Nots

The Haves and the Have Nots, starring John Schneider and Tika Sumpter, portrays the ongoing drama between the wealthy Cryer and Harrington families and the poor Young family. The most explosive season yet, season five picks up with no one unscathed by scandal, destruction, life-threatening moments and even death. The series also stars Angela Robinson, Renée Lawless, Crystal Fox, Peter Parros, Aaron O’Connell, Tyler Lepley, Gavin Houston.

If Loving You Is Wrong

If Loving You Is Wrong delves into the lives of neighbors and friends-turned-frenemies Alex (Amanda Clayton), Kelly (Edwina Findley Dickerson), Marcie (Heather Hemmens), Esperanza (Zulay Henao) and Natalie (April Parker-Jones). Season three continues to unfold as the neighborhood that once was the perfect picture of suburban life is still dealing with the repercussions of the scandalous affair that tore apart two marriages, and jeopardized every friendship the couples held close. The series also stars Joel Rush, Eltony Williams, Aiden Turner, Charles Malik Whitfield, Denzel Wells and Jay Hunter.

Netflix Lands Scripted Family Comedy Series Starring Rev Run And Justine Simmons From ABC Studios

A scripted comedy series starring legendary rapper Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons and his wife, Justine Simmons has landed a 10-episode season order at Netflix. The currently untitled comedy, which is fictional and not based on or even inspired by the Simmons’ real life, centers on a legendary rapper whose plans for slowing down are thwarted when his wife decides to pursue her own dreams and ambitions of stardom. While they have been on multiple reality shows, including the popular Run’s House, this is their first scripted project.

Ray J Inks $31M Deal For Electronics Company ‘Raycon’

Part-time singer turned reality star Ray J has signed a $31M deal with Cowboy Wholesale for his Raycon brand of personal electronic transportation vehicles including his foldable two-wheel Scoot-E-Bike. Ray J flaunted this specific bike on an episode of his hit VH1 reality series last season. According to a recent press release, Raycon is an extension of Ray’s company Raytroniks. The re-branded company will focus on “more innovative, high-demand electronics designed and backed by celebrities and plans to address the everyday needs of the urban technophile, focusing on impactful electric transportation.” Ray J said he’s committed to developing products that take advantage of green energy: BusinessWire reports Ray J will take an active full-time role in the newly formed partnership, overseeing marketing and global branding strategy. Apparently, Brandy’s brother is getting celebs on board to market his company and secure product placement growth through celebrities such as Sean Combs, Brandy, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Stephen Curry, Cara Delevingne, and professional athletic teams, including the L.A. Clippers and Los Angeles Rams. The Raycon official product launch is set to release mid-November 2017 and products will be available for purchase at RayconGlobal.com. Meanwhile, Ray J reportedly still makes over $300,000 a year for his infamous sex tape with Kim.

LL Cool J Has A New Hip-Hop Channel Called ‘Rock The Bells’!

LL Cool J exclusively announces on The Talk that he is launching his own classic hip-hop channel Rock The Bells on SiriusXM radio. The channel, expected to launch in early 2018, will feature a wide range of classic hip-hop content, music, interviews and in-depth retrospectives curated and presented by LL COOL J, as well as other innovators of hip-hop music.
