The Rising Stars Hair & Fashion Explosion

Durham, NC – The Rising Stars Hair & Fashion Explosion is coming to the Durham Art Council on Sunday November 13. Presented by Cameleon Infinite Salon Solutions co-owners Samantha Huntley (former Creative Director – Bronner Brothers, Inc.’s International Hair & Fashion Show for 10+ years) and Fallon Bradley. The show is hosted by fashion mogul, Katherine Neal of Vogue Modeling.  Fashions and will feature designs by Althea Thomas Womack and Sincerely Stacks, hair by C’ameleon Salon.

Designer, Trashon Artista (turning trash into art) and cancer activist, Althea Thomas Womack creates beautiful and whimsical clothing designs from recycled and repurposed materials. Her designs were birthed after winning a two time battle with cancer. Her fashions will share her survival through her designs.

Doors open at 3:30 pm, show at 4:00 pm and will feature youth ages five – young adults age 23.  The Rising Stars Hair & Fashion Explosion models will demonstrate how to work a runway as they parade down the catwalk showing the latest in styles and fashion for the younger generation. Don’t miss this wonderful presentation designed to empower our youth and motivate them in school and beyond.

Special guest for this event is Tim Johnson. Known for his hair, fashion, and beauty prowess, he is the owner of Tim Johnson International salon and spa in Raleigh, North Carolina. Since convincing his mother to sponsor his enrollment in cosmetology school, he has been a formidable force in the hair, fashion, and beauty industry for 27 years.

To date, Tim has owned and operated eight salons, having built most from the ground up, using his own capital. He’s also served as a commentator, emcee, and a spokesperson for some of the largest beauty and hair companies in the industry such as Bronner Brothers, Mizani, Pantene, and Red Pro. Not one to rest on his laurels, he has planned and participated in some of the largest beauty, hair and fashion shows in the nation such as BET’s Rip the Runway, Radio One’s Women’s Empowerment, and the Bronner Brothers, Inc.’s International Hair & Fashion Show.

Recently, he expanded his reach to include model management and development area. Tim Johnson will be at the Durham Arts Council supporting his Beauty & Barbers United’s (BBU) Best Kid Female Model in North Carolina.
