Week 7 kicks off on Thursday, October 18 (8:20 PM ET, FOX/NFL Network/Amazon) when the Denver Broncos visit the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium as both teams look to rebound from Week 6 losses.
The Broncos and Cardinals meet for the 11th time with Denver holding an 8-1-1 series advantage. In their last meeting (October 5, 2014), Broncos quarterback PEYTON MANNING passed for 479 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions for a 110.2 passer rating and wide receiver DEMARYIUS THOMAS had eight catches for a career-high 226 yards and two touchdowns in Denver’s 41-20 home victory.
Last week, Broncos quarterback CASE KEENUM passed for 322 yards with two touchdowns and one interception for a 91.7 passer rating in the team’s loss to the Rams. Since 2017, Keenum is one of four NFL quarterbacks (KIRK COUSINS, MATT RYAN and ALEX SMITH) with at least 5,000 passing yards (5,234) and a completion percentage of 66 or higher (66.1). Denver rookie linebacker BRADLEY CHUBB, the fifth-overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, had a career-high 3 sacks in Week 6, while linebacker VON MILLER added 1.5 sacks.
Arizona rookie quarterback JOSH ROSEN, who was selected No. 10 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, passed for a career-high 240 yards in the Cardinals’ Week 6 loss at Minnesota. Running back DAVID JOHNSON has scored a touchdown in four consecutive games and has at least 100 scrimmage yards in each of his past four games against the AFC. Johnson has 38 scrimmage touchdowns since 2015, trailing only TODD GURLEY (46) for the most touchdowns over the span.
