[Gallery] On the Scene: Dante Holt Brings Joe Torry and Friends Comedy Tour To Raleigh

Raleigh, NC – Promoter Dante Holt and his company, Big 5 Entertainment, is bringing the funny each month to Raleigh. On Saturday March 23, Holt made it possible for comedian Joe Torry & Friends Comedy Tour 2019 to make a stop at Solas Nightclub. With two sold-out shows that night at 7 pm & 9 pm, Holt also featured comedians Artsy Musa and Johnny Two Cups for a night of much-anticipated gut-grabbing laughter.

The comedians did not disappoint!

Joe Torry, former host and one of the most memorable comedians of HBO’s Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam, unleashed his raw, unfiltered and witty comedic style. His sexually-explicit set brought the audience to their knees with laughter. A member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Torry made his biggest breakthrough following his significant role in the box office hit movie House Party. His subsequent success includes ER, NYPD Blue, Girlfriends, NCIS, and movies such as Poetic Justice and Tales From The Hood.

Artsy Musa, known socially as the “Insecure Boyfriend,” was hilarious with parody-like comedy. Johnny 2 Cups shared adult comedy topics that had participants out their seats laughing and in full participation. Both men are from New Bern, NC and it felt like they brought the entire town with them.

Holt has brought comedy shows to Solas Nightclub the past 2 months now that the nightclub is offering comedy shows once a month.
