Jaden Smith to Play Kanye West On New Show
Showtime confirmed to Buzzfeed on Wednesday (May 1) that Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith will be playing a young Kanye West on a new show that will be featured on the network. The name of the series is “Omniverse,” an half hour anthology that “explores the Ego through an alternate reality” Not many additional details have been released such as of now, however, the production team has been revealed. The project will be executive produced by Kanye West, Scooter Braun, Westbrook Studios and Jaden Smith.
Remy Ma Turns Herself In To Police
Rapper and reality TV star Remy Ma was arrested following an incident regarding an alleged assault against cast mate Brittney Taylor. On Wednesday (May 1) Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, turned herself into New York Police for reportedly punching Taylor in the face at a concert in NY Irving Plaza April 16th. Remy can get in a lot of trouble for this one considering this is a violation of her parole from the 2007 shooting she was involved in! The rapper was charged with third-degree assault in Manhattan Criminal court.
Eva Marcille Pregnant With Third Child
Former Top Model Eva Marcille and husband Michael Sterling are expecting an addition to the family! In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Eva revealed that she is 17 weeks pregnant with her third child. “Michael and I could not be more excited to announce baby No. 3 is on board” Marcille told the magazine. The couple have been married since October 2018, following the birth of Michael Jr. in April of the same year. Together they have been raising Marcille’s daughter Marley Rae from a prior relationship. Sterling shared his excitement with People as well by saying “It’s amazing that God shared his most amazing superpower with us: the power to create and give life.” It’s safe to say this will be a very hopeful and optimistic pregnancy!
New Music From Gucci Mane and Travis Scott: “Murda”
On Saturday (April 27) The Weeknd’s Beats 1 Radio Show “Momento Mori” premiered some new music by multiple hip hop artists, including; Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Offset, 21 Savage, Gunna, Young Thug and more. The episode featured a lot of unreleased songs, including a collaboration between Travis Scott and Gucci Mane on a track called “Murda.” The last collaborative project from Gucci and Scott was the single “Last Time”, which was dropped following his release from prison in 2016.

SZA Calls Out Sephora Racial Profiling: Sephora Responds
Singer-songwriter SZA took to twitter on Tuesday (April 30) to tell about a recent incident where she was racially profiled in makeup store Sephora. The “Love Galore” singer called out a Sephora store location 614 in California by tweeting that an employee at the store called a security to make sure she wasn’t stealing.
Her tweet:
“Lmao Sandy Sephora location 614 Calabasas called security to make sure I wasn’t stealing. We had a long talk. U have a blessed day Sandy”
This is ironic seeing that SZA mentioned in an interview with Refinery 29 that she actually worked as a skin consultant at a Sephora before she became famous.
The company responded to SZA’s claims with a tweet:
“You are a part of the Sephora family, and we are committed to ensuring every member of our community feels welcome and included at stores.”
