Tua’s Big Day Leads Alabama Past Duke

Atlanta, GA – The reigning heisman-winner showed why he was the player of the year last season, as Tua Tagovailoa and the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated Duke 42-3 on Saturday.

Tagovailoa finished the day with 336 yards and four touchdowns on 26-of-31 attempts. Running back Jerome Ford and receiver Jerry Jeudy provided support for the Tide. Jeudy had 10 catches for 137 yards and a touchdown. Ford had 10 rushes for 64 yards and a score as well.

Duke struggled offensively for the majority of the day. The Blue Devils only managed to tally 204 total yards throughout the game, compared to Bama’s 512.

Coach David Cutcliffe seemed optimistic after the game, mentioning that he fully expects his team to bounce back next week.

The Blue Devils will rest up before hosting North Carolina A&T State on Saturday, September 7 at 6 pm.
