“Great event, a great number of students, great foot traffic; it’s good to see a lot of interesting students in higher ed.”

“(FSU) is a world-class university with a moderate campus feel. Also, apply early. Come see the campus; we have an open house on October 12th. We have another that starts in the spring, and you want to see the campus and start your process early so you can get scholarship money. “

“We have what you call rolling admissions where you can apply actually up to the last day of registration. I don’t advocate that. I would say if you want to enter in the fall, which is August, I would say you want to have everything in by June so you can have your money, and everything lined up. So early action. Do it as early as possible.”

“I’m graduating this year, so I wanted to look around at colleges and see what my options were because I’m not from here. So, coming out here was like me feeling around, seeing what schools were around seeing what my options are for me for school.

“Definitely try and apply yourself in high because it definitely matters. During my freshman year, I kind of slacked a little bit. And I didn’t listen to the seniors that were leaving, and I feel like your freshman year is really crucial to who the rest of your years go. So definitely get plugged into your school and really apply yourself. Make sure you’re doing your work because being an adult is not like high school.

“I came out here today to get out college applications and look at what school I want to go to – learn more about schools.”

“I’m looking to get into electrical engineering. I know that (Tuskegee University) has engineering there and I talked to the lady over there and she said that they have a great support system, and that really interests me because I would need a lot of support for such a rigorous career path.”

“College is a great option. It opens up more opportunities for you, that’s what my cousins tell me and everything like that. And I know that you can meet a lot of people there and you have a good time there.”
