Local Charities Join Forces To Host ‘Holiday Party For A Cause’ At Cameron Indoor Stadium

Durham, NC – Local charities, Temple Vitality Foundation and Carolina United Flag Football Club, join forces to host a Holiday Party For A Cause: Fundraiser Event at Duke University’s Cameron Indoor Stadium. The event will take place Saturday, December 14, 2019, to help bring awareness and raise funds for mental illness and young men, women and children’s fitness.

Temple Vitality Foundation and Carolina United Flag Football Club are non-profit organizations undertaking the duty of giving back to vulnerable populations in the Raleigh-Durham community. With a focus on mental illness, Temple Vitality Foundation’s (TVF) mission is to work with individuals who experience difficulties with daily function and provide resources to enhance this population’s ability to operate independently with the least amount of intervention through healthy and balanced living.

Carolina United Flag Football Club (CU Flag) mission is to promote continued health and fitness for young men, women, and children through athletics and sport. Motivated to impact lives from a grassroots approach, these organizations are teaming up to raise funds to continue their mission and uplift the community.

The Exclusive Holiday Party For A Cause: Fundraiser Event will be the ultimate give back experience with guests enjoying live music, a red carpet reception, silent auction, art gallery, interactive photo booth, a gourmet dinner buffet, and the opportunity to experience historic Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Understanding the need to help other vulnerable populations, local charities TVF and CU Flag aim to support additional non-profits at this event. The silent auction will focus on raising funds for East Durham Children’s Initiative (EDCI), benefiting children and low-income families living in East Durham, as well as Love Overload, assisting and empowering women and young girls living in local women’s shelters.

TVF and CU Flag believe both of these organizations are an extension of the work of TVF and CU Flag, as the populations EDCI and Love Overload serve many times deal with the challenges of mental illness as well as childhood obesity and diseases.

Funds raised from this event will be utilized to continue the mission of each organization and assist in meeting the organization’s objectives, which includes being an advocate for and educating the community on mental illness and physical health-related topics, as well as providing resources to the community for continued support.

The local charities, TVF and CU Flag are proud to offer the Holiday Party For A Cause: Fundraiser Event to the local community and connect with others who are passionate about giving back to stigmatized and vulnerable populations. It is with great hope and pleasure that both TVF and CU Flag are able to continue with their mission and go forth stronger in 2020 in meeting their objectives, with many lives being impressed upon as their work continues.
