The Slutty Vegan Tour To Pop Up In Durham
Atlanta-based food truck popular among Hollywood celebrities to host a pop-up Feb. 15
Durham, NC – The popular Slutty Vegan food truck will host a pop up outside of Hi-Wire Brewery (800 Taylor Street – Durham, NC) on February 15th from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
Based in Atlanta, Slutty Vegan was founded in 2018 and quickly gained popularity nationwide. With items featuring vegan shrimp, plant-based chicken, and Impossible “Slutty” Burgers titled “Sloppy Toppy,” “Super Slut,” and “Fussy Hussy,” the restaurant actively seeks to dismiss the notion that vegan food is either too expensive or too bland.
“We are extremely excited to host this African-American female-owned food truck on their 2020 tour,” says Cicely Mitchell, of So When Do I Clap. “They’ve gained lots of popularity and we hope all area foodies, especially vegans, get here early to grab a bite to eat and a beer from Hi-Wire.”
Slutty Vegan has been featured in Forbes, The New York Times, CNN, Essence, and various vegan interest publications. Hollywood celebrities including Tyler Perry, Will Packer, Tiffany Haddish, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Keisha Lance-Bottoms, Porsha Williams, and Jermaine Dupri have enjoyed the cuisine. The founder, Pinky Cole, recently paid off the debt of 30 students who attended her alma mater, Clark Atlanta University.
