How The 21st Century Has Given Us A Voice

While there may be many complaints about the modern world, you surely have to realize that it has given us far more than we ever could have wished for. It seems that while there may be people who are set against some of the ways of the modern world, things have moved forward in such a way that now everybody has a voice.

We understand that a lot of people may think they are a part of a generation without a voice, but if we really look at the facts, the modern world has given us so many platforms to be heard on, it is now more difficult not to say something.

In this post, we are going to be looking at why we have to thank the modern world for giving us a voice and then we will be looking at some of the solutions we have today that we wouldn’t have dreamed of looking at in the past.

What’s The Big Difference

If you can, cast your mind back to the 1990s. Now, think about how you could have vocalized something if you had an issue or wanted to convey a message.

The truth is, if you wanted to contact somebody you could call them or send them a letter if you had something to say that you wanted the masses to hear, you needed to be a certain type of person, otherwise whatever your words were, they would go unheard.

Today, on the other hand, technology and the world, in general, have changed, so if you want to say something, you can simply pick your medium. What’s even more incredible is this; if what you have to say other people want to hear, your opinion could be heard all over the world.

Where We Have A Voice

While some people have a plethora of complaints about social media, if you look at it closely, you can see that it has been responsible for some remarkable things.

One of the most prominent of those things over the last few years is all down to the #metoo movement. Who would have thought that something so simple could lead to something so powerful? Thanks to movements like this, we have remarkable companies and legal bodies like Rosenfeld sexual abuse lawyers who are there to offer representation, guidance, and support to those who need it.

It seems that social media has really given everybody the power to be heard. Of course, while Facebook and Twitter are huge platforms for giving people a voice, YouTube could be one of the most important.

YouTube users will stand up and create hours of content voicing their opinions, and when the subject is popular, you find that over time it gains ground and can reach the ears of millions of people.

While to some they may see it as useless, the truth is that powerful sources like this can really do wonders and it won’t be long before we start to see people on social media that have changed the world
