Carolina Panthers Announce 2020 NFL Schedule
CHARLOTTE – The Carolina Panthers announced their 2020 Schedule last night, May 7., amidst the uncertainty in the sports world caused by COVID-19.
In first-year head coach Matt Ruhle’s first season under the helm, many factors still loom in the air such as whether the season will start on time or if fans can attend games. Below are the biggest takeaways and the full schedule.
Schedule Highlights
1. A Grueling Road
The Panthers play 12-consecutive games before their bye week in week 13. By then, they would have played five-of-six divisional opponents and the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
2. What a Time
Get used to early starts if you’re a Panthers fan. Carolina plays all their games at 1 p.m., except for a week-8, Thursday Night Football divisional matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 29 at 8:20 p.m.
3. Tom Brady Comes to Town on Nov. 15
Tom Brady’s departure from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the NFC South the best quarterback division. The Panthers replaced former star quarterback Cam Newton with New Orleans Saints backup Teddy Bridgewater who threw for nine touchdowns and went 5-0 last season as a starting quarterback during Drew Brees’ injury.
