[Video] Carolina United Flag Football Club Making Their Mark As Pioneers
Durham, NC – Carolina United Flag Football Club (CU Flag) is undeniably a force to be reckoned with as they serve as forerunners within the flag football world. A team tailored for athletes desiring to experience competitive flag football on a high level, CU Flag’s mission is to continuously promote health and fitness for men, women, and children through flag football. Their goal is to also actively give back to their local community through various volunteer efforts, such as Special Olympics, football camps, and their signature H.O.W.L Program.
Founded by Derrick Walker, Dominique Boyd, Alain Valaka, and Jeremy Ashe, four flag football team-mates turned friends, CU Flag focuses on promoting a culture of integrity, unity, and accountability amongst club members. Their business and branding acumen, their love for the sport of football, devotion to healthy and well-living, and desire to give back has set them apart from your typical recreational flag football program. CU Flag is not only out to compete at a high level, but also provide a place where athletes can learn the game of flag football, stay in shape and have fun while doing so.
Established in 2017, CU Flag officially became a 501(c)3 organization in 2019. They began as a men’s 8-man team and has now expanded into an 8-man women’s team. Since their inception, CU Flag has won 3 League Championships and have competed in numerous tournaments to date. This is indeed a team making their mark as pioneers and definitely one to be on the lookout for!
