PC POLITICS: NC Black Alliance, We the People Int’l, Black Voters Matter & GOTV HBCU Tour
Raleigh, NC – During the final week of early voting, the North Carolina Black Alliance, We the People International, and Black Voters Matter have partnered with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the state for a four-day tour to increase voter turnout among college students.
In this episode of “PC Politics”, Anthony ‘A.J.’ Morgan – co-founder of We the People International, and Danielle Brown – Senior State Co-ordinator, Black Voters Matter, tells host Phyllis Coley about the Get Out The Vote HBCU Tour. The two talk about their respective organizations and why it’s important to vote, especially for HBCU students. Watch “PC Politics” now with A.J. Morgan and Danielle Brown.
The tour, beginning Monday, October 26, aims to energize, educate, and challenge college students to vote in the 2020 election. Hosted by local celebrities BDHAT, Drankins, and Darren Brand, the tour will feature a DJ battle between each campus’ DJ and a voter engagement activity for each school.
The tour schedule:
- October 26 from 1 pm – 3 pm North Carolina Central University, Shaw University, St. Augustine’s University
- October 28 from 1 pm – 3 pm Livingstone College
- October 29 from 2 pm – 4 pm Winston-Salem State University, NC A&T State University
- October 30 from 12 pm – 2 pm Fayetteville State University
