Celebrity Chef Jernard Wells, the host of Cleo TV’s hit cooking show New Soul Kitchen, held a special showing just before Christmas. During the “Holiday Sips and Bites” event, Chef Jernard shared a few recipes for savory hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and mocktails to enjoy during the joyful season.

In his personal kitchen via Zoom, Chef Jernard demonstrated a couple of recipes that would take less than 30 minutes to cook and enjoy. While preparing homemade barbecue meatballs, caramel bread pudding, and a whisky holiday mule cocktail, the award-winning chef announced the coming of his new TV cooking show spin-off “NEW SOUL KITCHEN REMIX”.

Airing in January on CLEO TV, Chef Jernard has designed the upcoming show to give audiences mouth-watering recipes for dishes that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less.  He will also provide overall tips on interesting, interchangeable ingredients and money-saving shopping solutions. The new focus is to teach audience members to not fear cooking new, cultural, and healthy dishes from their own homes.

Chef Jernard was very vocal and inspiring while sharing his thoughts and expertise during the “Holiday Sips and Bites” showing. While wearing one of his favorite cooking jackets, showing sponsors such as BMW, he explained how he’d changed a few eating habits and alternate ingredients to help him lose weight for the jacket to fit comfortably.

In addition, Chef Jernard listed ways to make the same dishes enjoyable for vegetarians and vegans as well. The ever comical and enthusiastic Southern foods genius spoke of his fellow co-hosts on his current TV show “NEW SOUL KITCHEN” and why choosing the talented female chefs were so important.

Each week, Chef Jernard welcomes one culinary guest including Chef Ahki Taylor who specializes in Vegan Cuisine, Chef Bren Herrera gets spicy with her take on Latin fare, Chef Essie Bartels packs on the Ghanaian flavor, and Soul Food recipe developer Chef Resha Purvis shows off her Instagram-worthy treats. On each episode, these culinary experts join forces to whip up a feast while providing flavorful conversations on the side. In every episode, recorded pre-COVID-19, the culinary gurus explain their unique approaches to their favorite comfort foods which are sure to inspire viewers to experiment while they continue to dine safely during the quarantine.

“New Soul Kitchen” airs on Cleo TV on Saturdays at 9 pm. “New Soul Kitchen REMIX” will have a premiere date coming soon, sometime in January 2021.
