Raleigh, Wake County Announces  Holiday Closings & Schedule Changes

RALEIGH – The City of Raleigh and Wake County Government has announced their closings and schedule changes for the winter holidays. The City of Raleigh administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Dec.23, Friday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 27 for the Christmas holiday. The offices will also be closed on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31. Emergency police, fire, and rescue services may be reached by calling 9-1-1. Wake County closings and schedule changes are below.

Trash and recycling collection will operate on a normal schedule.

Yard Waste Center

The City of Raleigh Yard Waste Center will be closed Saturday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Dec. 27.

Transit

GoRaleigh will operate on a regular schedule on Christmas Eve with last trips during the 7 p.m. hour. There will be no service on Christmas Day. For more information on bus schedules, visit www.GoRaleigh.org or contact 919-485-7433.
