RALEIGH, NC – Attention all video gamers in North Carolina! Are you looking to meet up with other gamers? Or to compete with others on games such as NBA 2K, Fortnite, Madden, Call of Duty, etc.? Looking to expand your collection?

Well, look no further – the Playthrough Gaming Convention is back and will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center on Saturday, March 19 (from 10 am-10 pm) and on Sunday, March 20 (from 10 am – 6 pm). This is the first time they’ve held it since March 30-31, 2019 – due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This two-day event offers gamers the opportunity to collaborate and share their passion.

With the exception of 2020 and 2021, this event has occurred since 2015. At Playthrough, you will have various things to do! Want to compete against others such as Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, NBA 2K, and Madden? Then, there are tournaments. Do you like Board Games such as Magic – The Gathering, Love Letter, King of Tokyo, and Ticket To Ride? You can also compete against everyone in board games! Do you love the classic games of yesteryear such as the Atari 2600, Colecovision, Sega Master System, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis, TurboGraphix-16, PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and PlayStation 2?? Check out the Retro Game section, so you can get a glimpse of video game history! Like seeing individuals dressed in costumes? Check out people dressed in Cosplay outfits. Miss the Arcade days? Check out the Arcade area, where you can play classics such as Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II, and NBA Jam! Like Virtual Reality? Well, there’s a section of that, where you can play yourself in a game! Many other areas are the PC Gaming Area, Expo, Panels, and Stage – Where people can talk about games and many more!

gamingThere will be various vendors selling games, especially Matt’s Game Exchange in Greensboro and several other vendors in the state and throughout the Southeast. This gives gamers an opportunity to edify their gaming collection.
