The ACC Has Three More Players Leave the Board
Las Vegas, NV — Rounds two and three of the 2022 NFL Draft concluded with three more players drafted from the ACC.
Friday kicked off the second and third rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft. The ACC had four players selected in round one, and a few more had their dreams come true tonight. More players from the conference are on the board to get picked tomorrow.
Andrew Booth Jr., the versatile corner from Clemson, was the 42nd overall pick in the draft. He was the first ACC player selected tonight. Booth Jr.‘s versatility should get him on the field early next season. He can cover all across the field, is very athletic, and is exceptional when stopping the run.
Joshua Ezeudu was the second ACC player off the board tonight. Ezeudu was the 67th overall pick in the draft for a New York Giants team that needs to fill its offensive line. He was a three-year starter for the North Carolina Tar Heels in his career and played 737 downs this season. His season-high 84 downs played against Wake Forest in a shootout. His 6’4 325 lb frame allows him to play multiple positions on the offensive line. His speed and quickness will make it difficult for opposing linemen to defeat his blocks.
Jelani Woods was the final ACC player selected tonight. He was selected with the 73rd overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts. Woods transferred from Oklahoma State to Virginia. He was First-Team All-ACC in the 2021 season. Woods has a combination of height and speed, with wide receiver hands. He will be a huge target for veteran quarterback Matt Ryan in the red zone.
