Orange County NCCU National Alumni Association Presents Annual MLK Program

Orange CountyHILLSBOROUGH, NC – The Orange County NCCU National Alumni Association and Orange County Department on Aging, and Passmore Senior Center will host the Annual MLK Holiday Program on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Passmore Senior Center (103 Meadowlands Dr., Hillsborough, NC) at 10:30 am.  The public is invited to attend a panel featuring area entrepreneurs in various industries to discuss their business strategies, goals, and what has driven them to establish successful businesses In the Spirit of Entrepreneurship. Light refreshments immediately after the program. Masks are not required but are suggested.

Dr. Bryan Littlejohn – Owner and lead physical therapist at PerforMax PT and Sports Rehab nestled in South Durham! Optimum and tailored care oriented to each patient’s desired goals with a concise and precision approach ultimately designed to leave each and every patient satisfied!!! Dr. Littlejohn earned his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Hampton University and has since completed numerous continuing education courses. While attending Hampton University, Bryan served as chair of the Student Special Interest Group for the Virginia Physical Therapy Association and vice-president of his graduate class. Bryan also served as president of the Pre-Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Group while in undergraduate study at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Coley

Phyllis Coley – CEO/Publisher of Spectacular Magazine and Host of Spectacular Magazine Radio Show.  In April 2002, recognizing avoidance in highlighting the achievements of African Americans, she started her own business publishing ACE Magazine. Coley, a North Carolina Central University alum, launched Spectacular Magazine in November 2004. Recognizing the lack of pertinent and truthful information, Coley began Spectacular Magazine Radio Show in March 2009. Coley is the organizer of Durham’s Annual MLK/Black History Month Parade and the Annual North Carolina Juneteenth Celebration, where she serves as the NC Juneteenth State Director under the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation. She currently serves on the Central Children’s Home Board of Directors, and Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Advisors, Immediate Past Secretary of the Durham Rotary Club Board of Directors, and is one of the founding members of the Triangle United Way’s African American Leadership Initiative. www.spectacularmag.com

Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Pfeiffer University. MODERATOR: Angelique Stallings – Vice President of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce.  She is an experienced community and corporate leader and has served the Durham community for over 20 plus years. A graduate of North Carolina Central University, Angelique has worked intentionally to be a conduit between underrepresented communities and the business community.  She volunteers with many organizations and looks to leverage opportunities to uplift the community. She is a tireless advocate and ally for women and equal and equitable rights. She serves on several boards throughout the community.
