“Loudmouth” airs Saturday, February 25 at 4:30 PM ET/PT – BET will air the premiere of the critically-acclaimed documentary, “Loudmouth,” exploring the legacy of social justice leader Reverend Al Sharpton. Hailed as “riveting and essential” by Variety and “incisive and striking” by Ben Travers of Indiewire, the stirring documentary presents never-before-seen footage of Rev. Sharpton on the frontlines, in the media, and in the corridors of power. This documentary paints an intimate and revealing portrait of a tireless warrior who has never ducked a fight in his mission to transform the status quo. Rev. Sharpton has spent a lifetime serving as a voice for the voiceless in the face of America’s deafening complacency in the fight against racial injustice, amplifying the ugly truths about the ongoing impact of structural racism on our nation. “Loudmouth” puts an unprecedented spotlight on the veteran activist, chronicling his work for social change from the streets of 1980s Brooklyn to 2020s Minneapolis. “Loudmouth” will premiere Saturday, February 25 at 4:30 pm ET/PT on BET, BET Her, and VH1, and will stream on BET+ followed by the “54th NAACP Image Awards.” The film will also head to SHOWTIME® at a later date.

BET HERCROWN” airs Sunday, February 26 at 7 pm ET/PT on BET – In celebration of Black History Month BET will encore CBS Sports’ original documentary “CROWN.” The film will explore this country’s complicated relationship with Black hair through a sports lens. CROWN features iconic athletes – past and present – whose hairstyles changed the game and helped different generations of Black Americans live authentically by embracing their hair. Featured interviews include NBA Hall-of-Famer Julius “Dr. J” Erving, three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Seven-Time WNBA All-Star and WNBA Champion Nneka Ogwumike, Three-Time NBA Champion A.C. Green, NFL Hall-of-Famer Edgerrin James and Three-Time NFL All-Pro and Super Bowl Champion Tyrann Mathieu. The film features Andrew Johnson, a former high school wrestler who was forced to cut his locs prior to taking the mat in a 2018 video that went viral. Johnson shares the story, in his own words, of the incident that helped sparked a movement leading to the CROWN Act, a bill that prohibits racial discrimination based on hair style or texture in the workplace and schools. CBS Sports NFL Today analyst and Emmy Award-Winner Nate Burleson voices the film. Click Here for the Trailer
