Arrest Made In Danville Va. Robbery Spree, Three Durham NC Residents Still Wanted
DANVILLE, Va. – After an extensive investigation by detectives in the Danville Police Department, one Durham, North Carolina resident has been arrested for her role in the Friday, April 14, robbery spree that occurred in the city of Danville. Three others are wanted – all from Durham, according to Chatham Star Tribune.
Ashanta Jessica Gibson, 19, was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery.
Antoine Derrell McNair, Jr., 24, Quindarius Rayshun Freeman, 20, and one 17-year-old juvenile are all wanted and have each been charged with two counts of armed robbery. Additionally, Freeman, McNair, and the juvenile were each charged with two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The juvenile was also charged with possession of a firearm under the age of 18. McNair was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
The arrest and charges are in connection with two armed robberies — one in the parking lot of Dollar General in the 4500 block of Westover Drive and the other at Martinizing Cleaning in the 100 block of N. Market Street.
The male victim was robbed of his phone, wallet, and an undisclosed amount of cash at Dollar General.
The cash register was stolen at gunpoint at Martinizing Cleaning.
The getaway car was a gray 2015 Hyundai Genesis, which was found in Durham.
