MEAC Set to Host Football 2023 Media Day

NORFOLK, Va., – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will hold its 2023 Football Media Day, presented by Wells Fargo, on Friday, July 21, at Hilton Norfolk.

Head coaches and two student-athletes from each of the MEAC’s six football-playing institutions will be in attendance. The in-person media session will begin at 11 a.m., and a live show will air on ESPN+ at Noon, during which the predicted order of finish will be revealed.

The student-athletes currently scheduled to attend are:

Delaware State: RB Wade Inge, LB Maurio Goings

Howard: RB Jarrett Hunter, DB Kenny Gallop, Jr.

Morgan State: RB Jabriel Johnson, LB Lawrence Richardson

Norfolk State: OL Baron Franks II, DB Joseph White

North Carolina Central: QB Davius Richard, DB Khalil Baker

South Carolina State: QB Corey Fields, LB Patrick Godbolt

The 2023 MEAC football season will kick off on Saturday, Aug. 26, with the annual Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge, pitting South Carolina State against Jackson State at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. The game will broadcast live on ABC for the first time.
