‘The Plus One’: Ashanti Goes Against Her Friend’s “Ex-From-Hell” In Film With Cedric The Entertainer

Ashanti is trying to keep her dream wedding from falling apart in the upcoming comedy, The Plus One.

The trailer shows how difficult it is for Ashanti’s character, Lizzie, to keep her sanity and her wedding intact as she faces off against the biggest threat to her wedding, her best friend’s impossible wedding guest. According to the official description:

The story revolves around Lizzie, played by Ashanti, who is determined to have the perfect destination wedding with the support of her adoring father, portrayed by Cedric the Entertainer. However, Lizzie’s meticulously planned wedding turns into chaos when her “man-of-honor,” Marshall (Bennett), brings his “ex-from-hell,” Marie. As Lizzie’s dream of a happily ever after is threatened, her friends and family rally together to prevent her from losing her sanity. The Plus One is an uproarious and charming romantic comedy.
