Richard, #11 NC Central Down Elon On The Road

BURLINGTON, NC – The #11 North Carolina Central University Eagles defeated the #25 Elon Phoenix 34-23 on Saturday at Rhodes Stadium.

Elon (3-3, 3-0 CAA) started the game with a quick touchdown and field goal to begin the game 10-0 halfway through the first quarter.

NCCU would recover with three touchdowns in the second quarter to take control of the game 21-10 and never looked back.

NC Central quarterback Davius Richard finished the game with over 270 total yards and four total touchdowns (3 rushing).

Following the win, NCCU is expected to move in the FCS top-10 ranks.

NC Central will look to heal up on a bye week before returning for a Thursday night game on the road at Morgan State on ESPNU.
