Duke Baseball Announces 2024 Schedule

DURHAM – Following its third Super Regional appearance in program history, Duke baseball has announced the 2024 schedule featuring 34 home contests and 12 teams that appeared in the 2023 postseason.

The Blue Devils finished the 2023 campaign with 39 wins, the second-most under head coach Chris Pollard, behind the 2018 squad who tallied 45 wins during their run to the Super Regionals.

Duke opens the 2024 season on the road, playing at the Baseball at the Beach tournament hosted by Coastal Carolina. The Blue Devils face three 2023 NCAA regional teams – Indiana (Feb. 16), George Mason (Feb. 17), and host site of the Blue Devils’ most recent regional championship, Coastal Carolina (Feb. 18).

The Blue Devils round out the month of February with midweek matchups against Liberty (Feb. 21) and Davidson (Feb. 27), while hosting Northwestern (Feb. 23-25) for a weekend series in between.

In March, Duke is scheduled to play 21 games in 31 days, opening the month with a five-game home stand against Akron (Mar. 1-3) and midweeks against Appalachian State (Mar. 5) and Georgetown (Mar. 6).

For the second consecutive season, Duke opens Atlantic Coast Conference play with Wake Forest (Mar. 8-10) in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Blue Devils welcome 2023 NCAA regional foe Rider to the confines of Jack Coombs Field for two midweek games (Mar. 12-13), before hosting 2023 regional host Clemson (Mar. 15-17).

Duke closes out a six-game home stand with Towson (Mar. 19), before traveling to Raleigh, N.C., for a weekend tilt against NC State (Mar. 22-24). To complete the month of March, the Blue Devils welcome in Campbell (Mar. 26) and Virginia (Mar. 29-31), who Duke took to a winner take all game for a spot in the College World Series last season.

April begins with the Blue Devils on the road with a midweek contest against Liberty (Apr. 2), before returning home to host Miami (Apr. 5-7) and William & Mary (Apr. 9). In the middle of April, Duke opens a stretch of being on the road for seven of their next eight games. The trip begins at Pitt (Apr. 12-14), before returning home to face Gardner-Webb (Apr. 16).

A four-game road stretch opens with a weekend series at Virginia Tech (Apr. 19-21) and the final of two meetings between the Blue Devils and Camels in Buies Creek (Apr. 23). Duke concludes the month of April hosting Florida State (Apr. 26-28) at Jack Coombs Field.

Following the exam break, Duke returns to action with a doubleheader against Longwood (May 5), before the final four-game road trip of the season. The Blue Devils travel to East Carolina (May 7) and Georgia Tech (May 10-12) to close out the road schedule.

To conclude the 2024 regular season, Duke hosts College of Charleston (May 14) and North Carolina (May 16-18).
