Duke’s Dominate Win Against La Salle in Blue Devil Challenge

Durham, N.C- In a stellar performance at Cameron Indoor Stadium, the ninth-ranked Duke Blue Devils secured a resounding 95-66 victory against La Salle in their second game of the Blue Devil Challenge. The spotlight was on sophomore point guard Tyrese Proctor, whose career-high 22 points and impeccable playmaking guided Duke to a convincing win.

Proctor’s stellar performance not only showcased his scoring prowess but also highlighted his remarkable ball control, finishing the game with an impressive 0 turnovers, a testament to his maturity on the court. The young guard’s consistency and leadership played a crucial role in keeping Duke in control throughout the game.

Joining Proctor in the double-figure scoring column were Kyle Filipowski, Sean Stewart, and Mark Mitchell, contributing 17, 16, and 12 points, respectively. Notable performances included Proctor’s 22-point masterpiece, Stewart’s double-double, and Filipowski’s second-half game. Despite a slow start, Filipowski displayed versatility by rebounding, shooting beyond the arc, and handling the rock, contributing crucial points when it mattered most.

As the Blue Devils close out the Blue Devil Challenge, they look ahead to a 6 p.m matchup against Southern Indiana this Friday.
