(Photo) Do You Recognize Him? Durham Police Seeking Public’s Assistance – Home Invasion/Sexual Assault
DURHAM, NC – Durham Police investigators are seeking the public’s help in reference to a home invasion/sexual assault that occurred on Sima Avenue in late November.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. on November 25, 2023, officers responded to a report of a home invasion in the 1400 block of Sima Avenue. Upon arrival, an adult female victim told officers an unknown suspect in a ski mask knocked on the door. When she opened the door, the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and forced his way inside the apartment, where he sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled the scene on foot, and the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a younger Black male no older than 25 years old with a thin build. He was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black shorts, black socks, and black sandals. A photograph of the individual believed to be connected to this incident is below.
