NC State dominates in win over Virginia
RALEIGH, N.C.- The North Carolina State Wolfpack won its 11th game in a row at home over the Virginia Cavaliers in the Reynolds Coliseum 93-66 victory.
The Pack was on a roll to begin the game. Aziaha James set the tone early scoring immediately after tipoff. The team fed off her energy. Zoe Brooks got a steal and forced a foul to extend the Pack’s lead to 10 as their success continued.
Laci Steele put three three-pointers to contribute to the team’s 18 points off threes in the first half to close out the half 57-34.
The Wolfpack continued to own the game through the second half by forcing fouls, putting up 24 points to Virginia’s 15 in the third quarter.
NC State held control of the lead to close out the game with a 93-66 victory over the Cavaliers.
NC State thrived from its fast-paced offense. The Pack jumped ahead early and maintained the lead throughout the game, benefiting from forced fouls, turnovers, and lousy mistakes made by the Cavaliers.
NC State had good ball control, including 40 rebounds (35 defensive), to aid in being victorious over the Virginia Cavaliers.
Moving forward NC State must set the tone early and get ahead to control the game and work on efficiency on hitting shots.
