Durham Police Conduct Death Investigation Of Three At Local Hotel
The Durham Police Department is currently conducting a death investigation that occurred early Sunday morning.
At approximately 10:16 a.m., on February 4, 2024, officers responded to the 4600 block of South Miami Boulevard in reference to a cardiac arrest call. Upon arrival, officers located four adult males unresponsive inside a room. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded and attempted life-saving measures. Three victims were pronounced deceased on the scene. Police are awaiting the medical examiner’s report to include toxicology results to determine the cause of death. EMS transported the fourth victim to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
This appears to be an isolated incident, and foul play is not suspected at this time. The investigation remains active, and additional information will be released at the appropriate time.
