NCCU WBB struggles on the road at Norfolk State
NORFOLK, Va. – Junior forward Morgan Callahan notched team-high totals of 17 points and eight rebounds for the North Carolina Central University women’s basketball team, but host Norfolk State University used a strong second half to pull away to a 72-44 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory on Monday evening.
Callahan once again shot over 50 percent from the field on the way to her 17-point performance. She also filled up the box score with eight rebounds, three steals, two assists, and one block before fouling out.
Fellow redshirt junior forward Aniya Finger was the only other Eagle to score in double digits, depositing 14 points.
