UPDATE: Durham Police Investigate Three Shootings Thursday Evening
DURHAM, NC — On Thursday, April 11, Durham Police responded to three shootings in the city. All of these shootings remain active investigations, and it has not currently been determined if any of them are related.
1200 block Truman Street
Shortly after 4:00 pm, Durham Police responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of Truman Street. Upon arrival, they located a 16-year-old male victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries.

Fayetteville St./Linwood Ave.
Shortly before 5:00 pm, Durham Police responded to a shooting near the intersection of Fayetteville St. and Linwood Ave. Officers did not locate any victims at the scene. A short time later, an adult male and a juvenile male who had been shot arrived at a local hospital in a private vehicle. Both victims sustained injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.
A third adult male shooting victim also arrived at a local hospital around the same time. This male also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. It is not currently confirmed where the third individual was shot.
UPDATE (April 12): Javonnte Patterson, 31, has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon in reference to the incident. He is currently being held in the Durham County Jail with no bond.
300 block W. Pettigrew St.
Shortly after 6:00 pm, Durham Police responded to a sound of shots call in the 300 block of W. Pettigrew St. A short time later, an adult male who had been shot arrived at the nearby bus terminal on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.
UPDATE (April 12): Investigators are searching for a stolen black Honda Accord in connection with this incident.
