Durham Police Investigate Domestic Incident Shooting Involving Pregnant Woman

DURHAM, NC – The Durham Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 200 block of Tobler Court on Tuesday. Based on our investigation, this is a domestic incident.

At approximately 4:08 p.m. on June 11, 2024, officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 200 block of Tobler Court. When officers arrived, they found an adult female victim, who is pregnant, suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS responded, and she was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but her condition has been upgraded to critical condition.

A short time later, officers responded to Duke University Hospital, where an adult male victim with a gunshot wound had been transported by private vehicle to the hospital. The male victim’s injuries are life-threatening.

It was later determined the male victim was shot at the same location on Tobler Court. Based on Durham Police’s investigation, the shooting is a domestic incident, and there is no threat to the community.
