Durham Police Files Charges in Recent Shootings That Occurred During Armed Robbery Incidents

DURHAM, NC – Investigators with the Durham Police Department’s Robbery Unit charged Treyvon Demario Hasty with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and Kidnapping stemming from an armed robbery that occurred at the BP convenience store located at 2685 Durham Chapel Hill Blvd on May 29, 2024. During this incident, the store clerk was shot by Hasty. 

Treyvon Hasty was also charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and three (3) counts of Kidnapping stemming from an armed robbery that occurred at the CVS Pharmacy located at 2010 Revere Road on April 16, 2024.

The Durham Police Department has been unable to locate Hasty and is now asking the public for help.

Juveniles Charged In Armed Robbery And Aggravated Assault Case

Additionally, Investigators with the Robbery Unit also obtained juvenile petitions charging two juveniles, ages 12 and 13, in connection with an armed robbery and aggravated assault that occurred in the 2500 block of S. Roxboro Street on May 30, 2024. During the commission of the robbery, the victim was shot multiple times. Both juveniles are currently in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
