Teen Girl Missing From Chapel Hill Safely Located

CHAPEL HILL, NC — Update (7/15/2024 8 am): Auj’nae Edwards has been safely located.

Previously released (7/15/24 6 am): The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in locating a missing teenager. Auj’nae Edwards, 17, of Chapel Hill, was last seen around 1 a.m. in the area of Formosa Ln.

Edwards is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. Edwards was last seen wearing a t-shirt and olive-green pants. Edwards has red hair and had it in a bun. The police department shared a photo of Edwards to help people identify her.

Edwards is not believed to be in danger.
