Two Men Charged With Brutally Raping, Kidnapping, Strangling Woman In Alamance County
MEBANE, NC – On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were notified of an alleged assault on a female. The victim was being treated by medical personnel when the Detectives received the notification.
Detectives responded and began an investigation of an alleged physical and sexual assault believed to have occurred in the 2900 block of Corbett Road, Mebane, N.C. Detectives discovered that the victim had been physically and sexually assaulted and strangled. Detectives also learned from the victim that the assaults took place in the female’s vehicle. They could not share details about what led up to the attack, citing the investigation.
Detectives established probable cause to serve a search warrant at a residence in the 2900 block of Corbett Rd, Mebane, N.C. On Thursday, July 11, 2024, Detectives charged and arrested two male suspects, Luther Fitzgerald Enoch and Bradley Scott Briggs. Both men were charged with first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, felony assault inflicting serious injury, and felony assault by strangulation.
Enoch and Briggs were brought to the Alamance County Detention Center, where they were given no bond and remain in custody. They will appear in court on Friday at 2 p.m.
