Durham Parks And Recreation Presents Rhythm And Reels Featuring NiiTo

DURHAM, NC – Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) will present the final free concert of the summer in its Rhythm and Reels series, featuring the soulful sounds of NiiTO. August 10 at Southern Boundaries Park will be an unforgettable evening of music, community, and celebration as we close out this season’s concert series with a spectacular performance.

NiiTO, hailing from Raleigh-Durham, NC, is a musical ensemble that has captivated audiences with its eclectic sound and engaging performances. Composed of brothers Aarik and Josh Duncan, NiiTO brings a distinctive blend of genres to the stage. Aarik, the talented piccolo bass player, and Josh, the saxophonist, are joined by fellow musicians AJ and VJ. Together, they create a musical experience that transcends traditional boundaries, combining elements of R&B, Pop, Funk, Soul, Jazz, and Blues into a unique and mesmerizing sound.

 
The band’s music reflects their deep connection with each other and their appreciation for the diverse world we live in. Their genre-blending approach is what sets them apart and provides a captivating element to their live performance. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair to comfortably enjoy the performance. Please note that alcohol and smoking are not permitted on the event grounds.
