(Update: Victim Identified) Durham Police Investigate Fatal Shooting On W. Club Blvd.

DURHAM, NC – The Durham Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the area of N. Roxboro Street and W. Club Blvd. 

At approximately 01:17 am on August 11, 2024, officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the area of N. Roxboro Street and W. Club Blvd. When officers arrived, they found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound was also located. The second victim was transported to a local hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

UPDATE: The victim killed in this shooting has been identified as Devondra Mack, 18, of Durham.

Investigators are still on the scene, determining the circumstances surrounding this incident. This appears to be an isolated incident. Additional information will be released at the appropriate time.
