Upcoming Triangle Event Will Recharge Women Ready to Move Forward!
RALEIGH— On November 8 – 9, 2024, area women will convene at the Hampton Inn and Suites Brier Creek (8021 Arco Corporate Drive) to recharge and take a giant step forward during an event hosted by THM, an outreach organization founded by Dr. Trish Harleston.
Data shows that 64% of women have increased anxiety as a result of the pandemic, 52% have an increase in depression, and nearly 70% have an increased level of frustration. Given these statistics, Dr. Trish Harleston has gathered national and area speakers and presenters to aid women in their comeback experiences through this 2024 Comeback Conference.
“Since 2014, women from across the region have been impacted by THM conferences and events and have expressed how the practical teaching and the relationships formed during these events have been impactful and life-altering. This year will take it to a new level,” says THM Founder Dr. Trish Harleston.
This two-day event, including a comedy show, workshops, engaging sessions, vendors, fellowship, and food, will focus on the various circumstances women have endured over the past four years. The gathering will help women face their circumstances as overcomers and celebrate the comeback from depression, loss, grief, anxiety, sickness, insecurities, and every circumstance that has created a setback in life. We are poised to celebrate comebacks through the medicine of laughter, the strength of connection, and the sharing of spirituality, fellowship, and release as several notable area women lead us through this engaging and inspiring weekend!
For only $99, attendees will receive the FULL WEEKEND ACCESS PASS for Friday evening and Saturday events, including the Friday Night Comedy Show with National Gospel Comedian Sister Cantaloupe of Dallas, TX. Sister Cantaloupe was the first female comedian to do the pre-show warmers for the Stellar Awards recently held in Las Vegas. Vocalist Marsha Bailey of Raleigh and Will Ellis of Durham will render music during the event.
Sessions during the weekend will include a workshop presentation by Dr. Gwendolyn Williams Dandridge of Richmond, VA. Dr. Dandridge is an Associate Vice President at Virginia State University and previously anchored WRIC-ABC News. Speakers for the event will include Dr. Trish Harleston of Durham, Pastor Chariss Riddick of Raleigh, and Pastor Cheryl Moore of Durham, all highly respected in their fields.
Attendees can expect panel discussions, breakout activities, lunch, swag bags, and access to the vendor exhibit. Melissa “Wade in the Water” Wade of 103.9 The Light FM says, “The THM Conferences are orchestrated with stellar execution and have been relevant, engaging, entertaining, and transforming for all who have had the pleasure of attending this event.”
