Raleigh Police Make Arrest In Homicide On Carnage Dr.

RALEIGH, NC – The Raleigh Police Department has made an arrest in connection with the homicide of S.T. Vaughn III on August 21 on Carnage Drive. Tywan Ali Williams, 43, has been arrested on Sept. 11 and charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

Background

On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at approximately 5:56 a.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the 1400 block of Carnage Dr.  Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was identified as 39-year-old S.T. Vaughn III. 

Officers and detectives were on the scene collecting evidence and determining the circumstances surrounding this incident. After a preliminary death investigation, the shooting in the 1400 block of Carnage Dr. is now being investigated as a homicide.
