Mama Afrika Festival Returns This Weekend
The Mama Afrika Festival is returning to Raleigh for its 13th annual event on September 14-15th, 2024.
Mama Afrika Festival is a fun-filled event for the family aimed at celebrating the beauty of African culture and bridging the gap between the cultures of the diaspora by embracing the diversity within it.
The second day of the festival, Sunday, September 15th is a free community culture event. Taking place at the Southeast Raleigh YMCA from 1-5 pm. Activities include family-friendly fun for all with a drumming circle, entertainment, poetry guest speakers, face painting, bounce houses, food trucks, a diverse group of vendors, and more!
September 14th, 2024 a Spirit, Mind, and Body Expo will be held with an esteemed panel of healers and experts in health and wellness. At this event will be free nutrition and health assessments, financial health guidance, a discussion of ancestral health, and more.
