Get Your Groove on During DPR’s Centennial Celebration
DURHAM, NC – Put on your dancing shoes and help celebrate Durham Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) 100th year during this Centennial Line Dance Party as part of the DPR 100 celebration.
On Saturday, September 28, 2024, come out to the I.R. Holmes, Sr. Recreation Center Gymnasium at 2000 Alston Avenue from Noon to 3:00 PM to participate in this one-of-a-kind birthday celebration. The goal is to have 100 participants, ages 18 and up, line dancing for 200 minutes. No experience is required for this fun, full-body workout!
Line dance refers to a range of choreographed routines danced in a group without partners.
“Line dancing is a vibrant and inclusive activity that caters to all skill levels,” said Edwina Steele, program coordinator at the I.R. Holmes, Sr. Recreation Center. “Whether you’re a beginner or feel like you have two left feet, line dancing is a fantastic way to enhance your rhythm, coordination, and transitions between movements while having a blast. Join us for an afternoon filled with fun and laughter. We can’t wait to see you there!”
This event costs $12 for City Residents and $17 for Non-City Residents. Register today here: https://bit.ly/Centennial-Line-Dance-Party.
