DURHAM, NC — Tommy T. McNeill, managing partner of Mid-South Medical, a Durham, NC-based company offering professional sales representation to medical product manufacturers, has given a $10,000 gift to the Health Industry Representative Association (HIRA). His gift will benefit independent healthcare sales representatives affiliated with HIRA by providing marketing and membership support.

Speaking from experience, McNeill, who has served on the organization’s board for more than five years, stated, “HIRA has provided an enormous opportunity for me to succeed in the business of marketing life-saving medical devices, partner with innovative companies, and be on the cusp of learning about technically advanced equipment that improves patients’ outcomes.”  McNeill noted that “HIRA was established as a gateway for independent sales professionals to contract with manufacturers to distribute products into the healthcare industry.”

As a recent graduate of Harvard Business School Executive Education and Duke Fuqua School of Business Executive Education, McNeill is driven by excellence and determined to pay it forward by assisting high-achieving individuals and organizations focusing on entrepreneurship.

McNeill quotes Nelson Mandela: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Inspired to succeed by refusing to take “no” for an answer, McNeill hopes those new to his industry and seasoned sales professionals are encouraged to grasp the opportunities that HIRA creates.

Health Industry Representative Association’s Executive Director John Peterson said, “Tommy exudes confidence. He is a creative thinker and an excellent strategist.”
