Durham Police Investigate Overnight Shooting That Killed Man
DURHAM, NC – The Durham Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred overnight in the area of N. Hyde Park Avenue and Holloway Street.
At approximately 11:35 p.m. on September 23, 2024, officers responded to reports of a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital by EMS with serious injuries but was later pronounced dead.
The victim killed in this homicide has been identified as Marquis Sinclair, 40, of Durham.
Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities believe this to be an isolated case, and the investigation is ongoing.
