Arrest Made In Shooting Of Woman And Young Boy In Raleigh
RALEIGH, NC – Raleigh police have arrested a suspect following a November 3rd shooting that injured two people in the 5300 block of Big Bass Lane. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 7:34 PM, finding an adult woman and a young boy suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. An occupied residence was also struck during the incident.
Police quickly secured the area and began their investigation. Based on initial findings, authorities believe the shooting was targeted, with no ongoing threat to the public.
After further investigation, police identified and arrested Reginald Deshawn Sturdivant, 38. He has been charged with assault, inflicting serious bodily injury.
This shooting of an adult woman and young boy remains an active investigation, and additional information will be released at the appropriate time.
