Raleigh Police Investigate Mangum Street Shooting, Arrest Made

RALEIGH, NC – The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday night (December 12) in the 1200 block of Mangum Street, leaving one man seriously injured.

At approximately 10:16 p.m., officers responded to a walk-in shooting report at WakeMed Hospital. Upon arrival, police learned that an adult male victim had sustained serious injuries from a gunshot wound.

Further investigation revealed that the incident occurred in the 1200 block of Mangum Street. Shortly thereafter, officers arrested 46-year-old Glenn Levon Strickland in connection with the shooting. Strickland has been charged with Felony Assault With a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
