Durham Housing Authority CEO Anthony Scott And Board Part Ways; Interim CEO Named
DURHAM, NC – The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Durham (“DHA”) has announced the mutual separation of Anthony Scott from his role as Chief Executive Officer and Secretary, effective December 19, 2024. This decision was reached collaboratively between the Board and Scott.
During his 8½-year tenure, Scott led DHA through significant milestones, particularly in the preservation and development of affordable housing in Durham. The Board extends its gratitude for his dedication and leadership, which have left a lasting impact on the community.
The Board has appointed Anthony Snell, DHA’s current Director of Real Estate, as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Since joining DHA in 2020, Snell has played a pivotal role in real estate development. With prior leadership experience as Executive Director of the Metropolitan Housing Alliance in Little Rock, Arkansas, Snell brings the expertise needed to guide DHA during this transitional period.
