MLK Pop-Up Event: Spectacular Magazine Brings the Block Party Indoors! (Lineup Included)

DURHAM, NC – The highly anticipated MLK Pop-Up Event is just around the corner, and this year, it’s going to be bigger and better than ever. Traditionally celebrated as Spectacular Magazine’s annual NC MLK Black History Month Parade & Block Party, 2025 brings a fresh twist: an indoor block party! The festivities will take place Saturday, January 18, from 11 AM to 4 PM at the DBCo Co-Working Hub, 506 Ramseur Street in downtown Durham.

“This year, we’re moving the celebration indoors to give attendees all the fun of a block party—vendors, food, entertainment—but without the cold,” says Phyllis Coley, publisher of Spectacular Magazine and event organizer.
