$750K Gift Launches NCCU Micro-Grant Program For Seniors
Initiative removes financial barriers, helping students graduate on time
DURHAM, NC – North Carolina Central University (NCCU) has introduced a graduation assistance program powered by a $750,000 anonymous donation. The initiative will provide micro-grants to senior undergraduates with unpaid tuition and fees, ensuring timely graduation.
Funds will be distributed before spring, summer, and fall graduations, with 100% going directly to eligible students.
“This generous gift allows us to eliminate critical financial hurdles for our students,” said Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon. “With this support, our Eagles can soar higher and achieve their aspirations without delay.”
Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement Susan L. Hester noted, “These micro-grants impact not only our students but their families and communities. It’s an investment in the future of Eagle leaders poised to change the world.”
The Office of Scholarship and Student Aid will oversee the program, furthering NCCU’s mission to foster student success and create transformative opportunities.
